Internships

We offer unpaid internships to college students pursuing or completing a degree in printmaking. Interns assist with workshops, technical research, exhibitions and studio maintenance. The internships are custom designed to suit the needs of the studio and the intern.

Interns usually work June-August, September-December or February-May. Zea Mays Printmaking interns learn the ins and outs of a working “green” studio and have the opportunity to observe some of the finest printmakers in the field in action during the workshops.

We are looking for interns who have a basic knowledge of printmaking (intaglio, relief and monoprint) and who have a special interest in safer and non-toxic printmaking practices. We always appreciate interns who have Photoshop and other computer skills!

We are currently set with interns for Summer and Fall 2010. We are accepting applications for Spring and Summer 2011. Applications are reviewed and filled on an on-going basis, so it's best to apply early.

If you are interested in an internship at Zea Mays Printmaking, download the application form here, fill it out and email it or snail mail it to : Zea Mays Printmaking, 221 Pine St. #320, Florence MA 01062.
