In my work, I try to get out of my own way, to achieve a spontaneous, unselfconscious way of making images. My path is unmapped. Along the way I see strong forms that hold flying breathing images, randomly tossed shapes, many textures. I respond organically with varied materials. Layers move through the press. Torn paper becomes rock yet stays translucent, almost mocking weight. Eventually new forms break through, honoring the breathtaking and uncontainable design of the natural world.
