The show is beautiful and the reception brought out a huge gathering.  Annie Bissett printing her "cash for the crash" during the reception, which was both a great demonstration of moku hanga and silkscreen, and a dialogue starter about how to make money as an artist.

Here are some photographs of the installation, the exhibition and the reception.

Last night was the opening reception for "Conscious Impressions" at the D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts.  The exhibition is beautiful.  Dimly lit and intimate.  Such a treat.  It's up until October, so please take a trip to Springfield to see it.

Here at home (in Florence, MA) we are celebrating "Bon A Tirer", our annual member show, on Saturday with a big open house and party.  Forty seven prints from 47 artists in our gallery.

And in a week and a half you can see "Scale in Contemporary Printmaking" at A.P.E. in Northampton.  This show explores scale and format.  Twenty artists from our studio have made big work, small work, installations, video and more!  The reception is May 11th, Arts Night Out in Northampton.

We're settling into our new studio, moving things around and getting things dirty.  It's starting to feel like home.

The Improvisational Woodcut workshop this past weekend was great.  Here are some photos:

In celebration of our new space we have just hung the inaugural exhibition in the newly named Sanford Gallery at Zea Mays Printmaking.  Bon A Tirer is the opening exhibition featuring the work of 46 member artists.  The reception and open house party will be held on Saturday, April 28, 5-8 PM.

Concurrently, and running through October 2012 is Conscious Impressions:  Green Printmaking from Zea Mays Printmaking studio at the D'Armour Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield.  The reception for this show is on Thursday, April 26th, 5-7.  Prints by twenty artists from our Flat File project were selected by museum curator Julia Courtney for the exhibition.

We re-open on March 16th at our new location, 320 Riverside Drive in Florence.  So excited to be in our expanded space and to welcome our members and visitors.

The new studio is 6000 sq. ft. of space, with a teaching studio and members' studio, our private studio "the annex", a separate darkroom, library and gallery.  We'll be hosting our first exhibition and Open House on April 28th, so stay tuned for details.

In the meantime, feel free to stop by during our open hours and check out the new digs!

Here are some photos of the opening reception for Prominent Printmakers at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester.  It's a beautiful exhibition of work by 13 artists, Annie Bissett, Brian Cohen, Anita S. Hunt, Louise Kohrman, Lynn Peterfreund, Nancy Diessner, Carolyn Webb, Lillianna Pereira, Victoria Burge, Anne Beresford, Nanny Vonnegut, Erika Radich and Joyce Silverstone.

I did a slide lecture about the artists and their work and then the wonderful faculty took us all out for dinner.  Thanks to Andrew Lucas, Bill Cass and Alison Williams, and to all great students and the public who came.

It's a really gorgeous show and I encourage a visit!

The building renovation is moving along so rapidly.  We are insulated, the drywall is up, the rough plumbing is done.  Here are pictures of the latest developments.  We're on schedule for an early March opening!

We've been so fortunate to have the work on the building continue throughout the holidays.  Thanks to all the workers who are making this come together.  Here you can see the new ramp out front, the framing for the bathroom, the main studio and the ever important prep for the insulation!
