Support our Mission!
Zea Mays Printmaking's mission to create a model for safer and non-toxic printmaking is an exciting work in progress.
Zea Mays Printmaking's Scholarship and Research Funds are sponsored projects of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions on behalf of Zea Mays Printmaking's Scholarship and Research Funds may be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
The Zea Mays Printmaking Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to artists who wish to take a workshop in non-toxic printmaking and are unable to pay the full tuition. Our scholarships provide up to 50% of the tuition. Most of our scholarship applicants are young artists interested in learning safer practices. They want to begin their art making lives in a healthy way and we strongly support this desire.
The Zea Mays Printmaking Research Fund supports the collection of research materials (buying books, subscriptions to trade publications, buying non-toxic printmaking products to test, and traveling to learn technical information) and the distribution of our research (physical research catalogues and web site updates). With new products and formulas coming on the market all the time it is important that we keep up with the latest developments so that we can share them with the global art community through our workshops, residencies and studio access.
Your support enables us to continue to bring non-toxic printmaking into the mainstream and to create a new model for healthy, sustainable art making! Thank you.
